Avant Garden · Privacy
Cookies & your choices.
A little clarity on what happens behind the scenes when you visit our shop.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files saved in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can also remember information between visits. Our shop runs on Shopify, which uses cookies to provide its storefront and checkout services.
Essential cookies
These support functions such as your shopping cart, checkout, security, and remembering your cookie choice. Refusing optional cookies does not switch off these essential functions.
Optional cookies
Your choice covers three Shopify consent categories, where these services are enabled:
- Preferences: remembering choices to personalize future visits.
- Analytics: understanding how visitors use the shop.
- Marketing: supporting marketing and measuring its effectiveness.
Accept optional allows these categories. Refuse optional declines all three. Your choice is passed to Shopify through its Customer Privacy API.
Remembering your choice
We save your choice in this browser for up to six months using a cookie named avant_cookie_consent, with local storage as a backup. This record contains your consent choice, a version number, and an expiry date; it does not contain your name or email address. Shopify also maintains its own consent record.
The popup stays dismissed after you accept or refuse. You can reopen it using Cookie settings in the footer or on this page. Clearing browser data, switching browsers or devices, or an expired preference can cause it to appear again.
Shopify and other services
Shopify-managed tracking uses Shopify’s consent settings. Embedded services and independently installed apps may have their own cookies and privacy practices. See Shopify’s cookie policy for details about Shopify cookies and their lifetimes.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect shopping and checkout.
For more information about personal data, read our Privacy policy.
