A recent move from Highland Park Village (its home for 15 years) to bigger digs at The Shops of Highland Park means business is blooming for Avant Garden. The shop, owned by event planner extraordinaire Todd Fiscus, now has space for an expanded selection of home furnishings and accessories. Among the orchids, succulent gardens and seasonal blossoms, look for stationery by Alexa Pulitzer, customizable chandeliers by Ro Sham Beaux and an ever-changing mix of contemporary art. Just remember: Many of the items are one-of-a-kind, so if you find something you like, get it when you see it.
